Jean taught Dental Education for 25 years, became tenured which is a magnificent achievement in the world of academia and currently working as a part time faculty before planning to retire in the coming months.
During her time working at the University of New Mexico, Jean won a Science and technology award from UNM for a top 100 invention recognized by the University Association of Science and Technology association for her solar oven.
