Engaging Children in STEAM

Frog
Frog we found

When the weather starts to get cold and dewy, the frogs come out to play!

One of my daughters favorite activities is to go frog hunting. As the sun goes down we go looking for frogs and other little critters around the garden. We talk about where the animals live and what they eat, why beetles have hard shells while frogs are soft.

Activities like these give kids the opportunity to see animals in their natural habitats and feed their curiosity. Experiencing animals in nature is a great way to give kids the building blocks towards environmental sciences and sustainability.

Added bonus: It's also a great way to bond as a family.
